Very very good
Very very good
Would be great if it WORKED!! screen stuck in "loading"
You ever seen that star map app with AR? This is like that, except it uses geolocation data AND intercepts radio waves, getting unique addresses and distances to signals, etc. my guess is interception of id headers in the radio waves, instead of just ignoring the waves like normal and not knowing about them, it’s gathering the data into a visualization. Awesome stuff. Definitely worth my $3 lol. I found Sirius XM in geolock! Lmaoo Edit: I don’t read, it’s obtained from osint. Still dope :)
It’s been a long time since this app received an update.
Wonderful and out of date. Hopefully the database will be updated with all the new satellites and cel towers. Even in it's current state it is a fantastic noise making app. IDM, EDM, Glitch, Noise, whatever your genre this can inspire.
This app is outstanding. I love the information I get about the area around me and just learning where things are in relation to radio waves. It’s so interesting. So to the developer, PLEASE update this app so it stays current and doesn’t get wiped from our devices in further iOS updates!!!
You’d be better off buying a half gallon of gas than buy this. You could also buy some X-ray specs from a comic book. Just as useful.
It is good for me, I just wanted to see the invisible signal around the machines I work on. I did not buy this to complain whether there is radiation around power and water meters in my house which I think is plain stupid. This is an app to see the radio frequency around you and this has nothing to do with electro magnetic fields. I simply do not understand why would someone buy this to find radiation and dangerous frequencies so they could distance themselves around it. Everywhere you go, there is radio frequency, the celphone you use, the wifi around you and the satellites on top of your head. This is not like microwaves that are very harmful, if you want to live without it, then the best place for you to live is in Mars.
So I bought this thinking I can see my Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile phones display. They did not. But instead, the app seems to focus on signals further away. It’s not that accurate from what I can tell. I tried line of sight my mother’s phone but it did not display. My guess is that there must me some open signal. Then again, I had my Verizon phone stream a video. It didn’t show. I’m wondering if I didn’t read enough that it only shows specific signal. Like a call. I will still test. It’s nice visually though. I can at least imagine. But really, I’d like near field goal data gathering.
Unidentified waves come and go. My area looks mostly empty despite excellent WiFi and cellular. “About” and “help” both bring up same useless nonsense. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!
Pretty cool but have to agree with the most recent reviewer about needing it to update with 5G signal. That would make it a 5 star app. Other than that pretty nifty
Amazing app that allows you to see just how much frequency is all around us.
Utilizó esta app para ubicar antenas de Celular y poder tener mejor señal, es súper útil. No hay otra app que haga lo mismo.
I EXPECTED I would be able to see the 5G transmitters in my neighborhood and identify the frequency and power level they are transmitting at. I HOPED I would be able to identify the power and water meters on my house and see how much radiation I am being exposed to every day, 24/7. I FOUND that the app shows all the satellites that are above me and the Wi-Fi transmitters near me and the distance to them. I assume the frequencies identified by the satellites are for TV broadcasts and the cell towers and Wi-Fi routers are for 4G technology? I went up to 5G transmitters and they don’t show any signals, the same as the power and water meters. That’s disappointing because the meters and the 5G Wi-Fi antennas are EXTREMELY invasive frequencies. That’s why I bought the app, so this app is it useful to me. DEVELOPERS of this app: Please upgrade this app to recognize the dangerous frequencies ASAP! You can bet you will sell 10 to 50 times more of this app then you are doing currently. When you do, send out an update blast to all of us. THANK YOU!
I live in a suburb, and I know exactly where my neighbors Wifi routers are located. Not only does this app not show them, but throws up a bunch of spikes that are not located anywhere nearby or correspond any no location or cell tower, Even though several Wi-Fi routers are located within 100 feet of my location. My suspicion is the developer just threw up a bunch of data so that it looks cool. And it does look cool and it’s very nicely designed. But the data is suspect.
Very buggy and not seeing any signals around. Seems worthless so far. I want a refund.
Incredible visualization tool. The quantity of terrestrial antennas and satellites is staggering.
Ok
Was looking for an app that could show me my nearby Access points and Mobile towers with a bit more detail. Does not appear to use any kind of active detection as the router right on the wall fails to appear to the app, and the depth of the app is strictly surface deep. You get what you see and no more, no less. No signal strength, no network name, no useful information beyond “hey here’s a thing, it kinda does this, neato huh!?” Paying 3 bucks for an app usually isn’t a big deal but more functionality was what I thought it inferred
Not only does it show the cell towers and communications towers, it shows GPS satellites in space! Goes to show how useful the sensors in the iPhone are! Good work, looking forward to updates.!
Tried on two devices, both said connect to Internet...was connected! Gave up...
Seriously? I just paid $3 for an app that does nothing. I want my money back!!!! Thieves!
Very basic but very good! I am excited about the evolution of this app!
I was expecting a bit more, but that was because I did not consider how the app obtains its data. It’s probably not possible to have the device itself analyze the signals around you, so instead it determines your location and provides details based on publicly-available information. Still, I wish it would at least accurately determine where my wifi access points are located based on signal strength. I can stand right next to one of my access points and they do not even appear on the screen. Likewise, there is a cellular repeater about 100 meters from me; it detects it, but only when I aim the device in the opposite direction. I wish there were more options. Likewise, it was not immediately clear what the “cardboard” feature was for until I read the app’s description. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t discourage anyone from downloading this app who finds the underlying concept interesting.
It works great, just was expecting to be able to see wifi network names and where my own is. Oh and to see the names of radio towers instead of unknown.
Wow! The Infosphere as imaged nowhere else. Truely mind boggling info of what's around, invisibly. Mobil towers, WIFI, & Satellites are all displayed. This App is a work of Genius! Thanks!
It's like having a window to a hidden world. Intellectually I know that it's a dataset visualization but it Feels like the app is actually measuring the signals in real-time. You'll like it, it's cool.
It's simply amazing to see, does exactly what it says it does.
I'm a moron. I was thinking it was actually going to show me lol the signals nearby. Instead it just gets your gps coordinates and then plots the pre defined antennas based off your coordinates to a 3D map. Pretty lame. I can't believe I spent 3 bucks on it
This app was suggested by someone in a group. It sounded pretty cool as I live in a city. All it shows is cell towers and suppsodly satellites. It does NOT show wifi or smart meter locations. It was neat for all of about 3 minutes that it took to finish my coffee and go about my day. Hopefully there's some improvements.
App is not working. Connect to Internet and restart...boo
Not sure if it is the newest iOS but the app no longer loads for me telling me to connect to the internet and relaunch app. Hmm, since I used the internet to redownload the app to my new phone, I think I'm good there. It was cool when it did work but now it is a useless waste of space on my iPhone. Don't waste your money.
No you can't see wifi signals, cell towers, or anything of that nature. Just shows u some crap that has nothing to do with reality.
I agree, the app has potential if further development is forthcoming: - do something about the loud crackling sound. It serves no purpose. - change something to accurately indicate what's being seen vs the legend -- they don't match - offer choices of display parameters - move info pop ups onto screen when partially obscured.
Cool to see, would be nice to have filters between sources and see details of the device selected
This App is 100% The Best iOS App I Ever Saw When I Purchased it And Open Just Saw The World Full of Radio Signals and Satellites Nice Work And Nice App 👍👍
Needs improvement
A neat app to "visualize" radio waves around us. I find it kind of fascinating.
The first rule of programming is you should create something useful. This app serves absolutely no useful function. The visualization is based on your location and a guess at where signals may exist based on some dated data. I'm almost certain some of the signals are made up. I used this app once for a couple of minutes than deleted it.
Was interesting for about 2 minutes when it worked 3 months ago. Gives an idea of what types of transmitters might be in the area based on likely old info, matched to kewl radio static sound. Now it won't open. Says "connect to the Internet and reopen app". FLUSH
As it stands, this app is a solid foundation for great things to come. Great job Richard for breaking ground ! You beat me to it, mine is still conceptual and linked to other potential concepts.
No, this app doesn't really "help" in any way. It's a fun app to geek out with for a while. I give it five stars because it doesn't claim to do anything other than what it does. And it does it in a fun, visually engaging manner.
Architecture of Radio is a neat app, showing you what the world of radio "would" look like, if you could see in the Electromagnetic spectrum; a better way to put it is that it gives an artist's rendition of what the electromagnetic spectrum might be. I say "might", because it is debatable how useful it really is. For example, I cannot see my Wifi router, even when I am standing less than a foot from it. Though the router may be using an encrypted signal, it is still transmitting one, so I should be able to see it regardless. Nor can I see any other routers immediately in the vicinity, such as communication networking devices connected to game consoles (of which, due to the prevalence of online multiplayer games, there should be many). It is also not obvious if the information displayed is in any way accurate or just some approximation of signal points. The software claims to use a database of OpenCellID system registers for its measurements, which is probably true, but that also most likely means it doesn't get updated that often. There is really no way to know without using actual router mapping software and private antenna systems, and plotting all the hotspots manually. At best, it is a cool toy, and at worst, a complete fabrication of information with misleading claims of data mapping. In conclusion, fun but most likely not accurate. It is best used for entertainment purposes only.
The graphic on this app are stunning. But some of the symbols are too small, such as the Wi-Fi sources. There are no controls for anything. And I cannot, for the life of me, figure out any use for the app.
At the moment it shows you where cell towers are and satellites, doing what it is intended to do, and it's neat. I would like to see the evolution of this to include being able to 'see' the router you are connected to and what the potential signal strength is.
This is based upon a database of satellites, cell towers and other networks. As you rotate and move your device, you see where these sources of information is around you. There is this strange sound effect that is a combination of electronic beeps, static and other annoying sounds. It should have better sound effects. There is no way to zoom in or out, choose a point of interest, or get information of the sources. It needs that. There is no configuration tool, either. This is in need of a functionality update. Not even worth 99 cents, as it is designed.
Truly genuinely the worst app I have ever purchased. Why? Because it doesn’t work, just never loads. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the times and probably paid for it three times too. I was so excited about the capability, but simply junk someone must have created to line their pockets.
No problems
Please fix. Won't load. Can't use. iOS 9 / 6S +
Doesn't load. Ever. It just doesn't load. This app is a scam.
It doesn't work. It stays on the "loading" screen indefinitely.
